Want to continue to earn tax credits to offset your tax liability? If the answer is yes, then now is the time to act!
Statements for the hearing record need to be submitted by May 10, 2012, now is the time to make contact in the states where you operate. What you need to do: TaxBreak recommends you reach out to your Congressperson and Senators and advise them to co-sponsor H.R. 2082 and to urge The Ways and Means committee to make WOTC a permanent part of the tax code.
TaxBreak has simplified the process by providing sample letters where you can simply input your company information and fax it to your representatives. Click here to access the sample letters. Or, feel free to create your own letter. A list of targeted members of Congress and Senators with fax numbers is provided for your convenience. If you are unsure of who your representatives are, click here.
Continue to Process as usual:
All WOTC categories except the Veteran’s categories are currently on hiatus. This situation is not unusual, and of the three times this has occurred, the renewal of the WOTC program was made retroactively to the date of expiration. For this reason you need to continue to process your new hires within 28 days of start or you will lose any credits for which you may have been eligible once WOTC is renewed.
