Senate Republicans Meet Today To Consider Proposal To Move Tax Extenders Bill

Senator Reid opened the Senate today saying he had given Republicans a proposal for moving the tax extenders bill forward and was informed that Republicans would caucus at 2 PM today to consider the proposal.

Should Republicans and Democrats reach agreement, there could be another vote to take up the bill before the Senate adjourns tomorrow for Memorial Day recess.

Even if agreement is reached, it’s likely votes on amendments won’t begin until after the Senate returns from recess on June 2.
